PRESENTERS from the BBC Radio Kent breakfast show broadcast live from Margate this week, as they covered the town's resurgence as a seaside attraction.

Breakfast Show duo Clare McDonnell and John Warnett parked their BBC van on the town's Harbour Arm and were on air from 7 to 10am.

John, a presenter on the show for over 14 years, says the town holds many childhood memories.

He said: "I used to go on holiday in Westgate with my mum and dad and go into Margate in the evenings. We are here to cover the whole issue of regeneration in Margate with the Turner Contemporary opening and the Dreamland project.

"I haven't been to Margate in two or three years and I was amazed to see what is happening."
