THERE'S a storm brewing over Ramsgate and when it breaks the town will be filled with art.

A Summer Squall is the first festival by Ramsgate Arts, a group of volunteers, and builds on last year's Love, Hate, Hope pop-up shop.

Funded by Ramsgate town council and businesses, the three-day festival starts tomorrow (Saturday, August 28). It has three themes, Made in Thanet, Green Futures and Heritage with more than 30 events including workshops, exhibitions, talks, dance, a market, street entertainment, hooking disco diva ducks and the chance to watch a film in the world's smallest solar-powered cinema.

Many of the events, at venues across the town, are free.

●Locations where you can catch the miniature, solar powered marvel that is Sol Cinema are:

Sunday 11am Newington Green, 4pm The Boating Pool, West Cliff.

Monday 11am crossroads between King Street, Queen Street, High Street and Harbour Street, 4pm Harbour Parade.
