John and Sandra O'Callaghan, of Birch Close, are livid Tunbridge Wells Borough Council workers have strimmed an area but not removed the cut grass, which the couple said was obscuring gravestones.

Mr O'Callaghan, 70, said: "Surely there's a respect all around for the dead? They've strimmed the grass but now it's covering all the graves and flowers."

"I rang my sister on Tuesday and she went to have a look and cried because she couldn't find the grave she was looking for."

Borough council contracts services manager Mel Henley said: "I am sorry to hear the couple are unhappy with the cemetery. If they contact me directly I will be happy to speak to them about the issues they raised."
